C-210: Ms. Zaffetti
The philosophy of C210 is based on the principals of applied behavior analysis. Our instructional methods and interventions are derived from evidence-based practice. Many of our teaching assistants are currently completing training to become BCBAs and are well-versed in providing ABA therapy.
Here in C210, we strive to address the academic, behavioral, communication and social needs of our students. Independence is encouraged by further developing group skills and systematically decreasing staff support. We capitalize on individualized instruction to best suit the needs of each student. Both academic and behavior data are collected on a daily basis in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
We value the importance of collaboration with other professionals and frequently consult with the BCBA, SLP, and OT. Given our team approach to handling situations ranging from challenging behavior to learning difficulties, we are able to help our students make progress. Seeing the growth that our students make during their time in C210 is what inspires our mantra: It’s a beautiful day to shape behaviors.
“A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.” – B.F. Skinner
