Gengras Center students participate in seven- on- seven soccer over the course of two weekends. These athletes practice during their physical education class and on Friday afternoons during school. Typically, The Gengras Center fields two teams and the highlight of the weekend is when the “Moose†play the “Chips.†Both teams work and play hard and try their best to bring home a medal, but no matter the outcome everyone involved leaves with a sense of pride, fulfillment and achievement that will last them a lifetime.
As with Floor Hockey, students who benefit from more individualized events can participate in soccer skills activities (shooting, passing, dribbling etc.). These events provide a level of competition for every athlete and allow for meaningful and rewarding participation. Although these events are individualized, Gengras skills athletes quickly bond as a team cheering for and sharing in the success of others.
