Community Work Team
Vocational students are given an opportunity to participate in community based and campus based training programs.
Students participating in Community Training programs travel by Gengras Center vans to work sites in the West Hartford and Hartford area. There, they spend the full day working alongside local business people, receiving on the job training in various career areas. 
The Gengras Center
The Gengras Center, founded by the University of Saint Joseph in 1965, is a state-approved private special education school that provides for the educational and vocational needs of students ages 5-21, and serves as a laboratory school for USJ's education and social services majors.
