For our current students who require an extended school year, we offer a five-week summer program built around our standard curriculum and special summer themes.
Opportunities for social interaction, recreation, leisure and field trips, are also part of the extended schedule. Student’s participation in the extended school year program is determined during the annual review process.
Some of the key features of our summer program are:
- Field trips and community outings
- Visits from local businesses and agencies, such as ice cream trucks, animal visits, and fire fighters
- Extra time outdoors participating in fitness activities, gardening, and visiting local parks
Sometimes broadening the reach of what this school can accomplish means broadening the school year. And that simply results in many more accomplishments!
