8:30 AMThe Bright StartThe morning begins with warmth and excitement as our students arrive safely off the bus, ready for their day. Smiling faces are met with friendly greetings from our dedicated staff, setting a positive tone from the very first moment.
8:45 AMWelcome to Our Classroom CommunityEach student is welcomed into their vibrant classroom and settles in, preparing for a day filled with individualized learning, social opportunities, and predictable routines.
9:00 AMMorning Routine & MeetingThe first class kicks off with an engaging morning meeting that helps students transition into the day. This class period fosters social skills, communication, and a strong sense of classroom community while working on IEP objectives.
9:45 AMMinds at Work: AcademicsAs students move through their schedule they are focused core academics such as math and reading, tailored to their individual learning styles and paces. We provide instruction that challenges, supports, and celebrates every step of their academic journey.
11:15 AMConnecting Over LunchLunchtime is a key social and skill-building experience! Students enjoy nutritious meals and our dedicated staff provides support as they work on independence with all parts of the lunch routine—from navigating the lunchroom to feeding and cleanup.
11:45 AMJoyful Exploration: RecessThere’s nothing quite like recess on the playground! Our students enjoy fresh air, active play, while building friendships and burning off energy in a safe and inclusive space.

12:15 PMNurturing Growth: Therapy SessionsStudents receive individualized support through specialized therapies like Speech Therapy based on their IEP. These sessions are designed to improve communication, address unique needs, and build confidence, all delivered by our compassionate expert team.
1:00 PMMovement & Energy: Physical EducationIt’s time to move! Our Physical Education classes are designed for fun, fitness, and gross motor skill development. Students enjoy activities that boost coordination, teamwork, and overall well-being in a supportive environment.
2:00 PMIndependent Learning & Skill BuildingA crucial part of our instructional approach are work sessions designed specifically for each student aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This dedicated time allows them to practice new skills, reinforce concepts, and generalize learning in their unique abilities.
2:50 PMA Day Well SpentAs the day winds down, our Gengras students leave with new skills, happy memories, and the knowledge that they are valued members of our community. Every day here is a step forward in their journey toward independence and a fulfilling life.
